History of Roland DG
Doming is one of the easiest ways to add value to vinyl stickers. The Roland printers are able to kiss cut any shape allowing you to create beautiful stickers/labels or decals. These as they are can be sold for great profit but if you are looking to add extra value for very little effort the best thing to do is dome it. We sell a product which is super easy to use and requires very little practice to master. The traditional method of mixing two parts of different resins into a container and using a spoon to apply has long been forgotten. We have a very unique gun system which allows for very little mess and fuss. As with silcon gun or a glue gun, it takes away the guess work. The only thing you have to remember is to apply the correct amount which is easy to judge and the resin does the rest of the work for you. The resin is a polyurethane mixiture and comes in two veriations of hard and soft. The life of the dome is upto 10years without cracking or discolouring.
The basic proceduer is to print and cut you graphics, allow time to fully dry. We then weed the graphics which is the key as this gives our resin a border so it knows where to stop flowing to. The silicone backing of the vinyl backing paper tends to repel the resin so it stays only on the vinyl section. Once you have applied resin it will flow like honey to the border of the sticker, magically stoping at the edge. This then starts to cure or dry from the moment it mixers together, it will take approximately 45minutes to be dry. This will then be you domed sticker which you can use for name badges, fridge badges, canopies, key rings and even photo frames. The limitations for this product is you creativity. To work out the cost of the resin is simple that even your kids could do it, maybe better than you could. Its back to school for the Volume formula, V=LxBxH. Once you have the exact dimesions and worked out the volume then we just divide that into how many milliters we have in our cartridge of resin which is 50ml, this will then show us how many badges we can achieve with one cartridge. I hope you are already using doming in your shop but if you not then give us a call to show you exactly how its done.
